We invite you to a unique musical experience that will almost touch the sky, as the harp sounds as gently as if angels themselves were playing.
Let yourself be carried away by the pure sound of four large harps and their 188 strings, which will caress your soul, open up space for calm, inspiration, and a deep experience of beauty. The price includes a concert from the MINORITE CULTURAL FESTIVAL series, a small reception with a glass of wine, and a tour of the Minorite Monastery in Prague (regular admission is CZK 275), which includes Romanesque foundations, two winter refectories, monastery gardens, a summer refectory on the first floor, and, of course, an exhibition of paintings by Klára Sedlo entitled "The Secret Garden from the Voynich Manuscript."

What does the number 188 symbolize?
Music is the language of the heart—and numbers can be its code. If we look at the symbolism of the number 188 as a key:

  • 1 – a new beginning, leadership, the courage to create
  • 8 – abundance, inner strength, balance between the spiritual and the material
  • 88 –strengthened energy of success and harmony
  • 188 – a powerful message of encouragement: open yourself to new possibilities, believe in your strength, create in harmony with yourself and the world around you

Come and listen to the tones that bring peace and joy.
The harp – an instrument of ancient times – comes to life in the hands of talented performers to speak in a quiet dialogue to your soul on this evening, as the sum of the digits of this day and month adds up to 18. This is a number with deep meaning, bringing creativity, vision, independence, courage, strength, and balance.

We look forward to seeing you at the Minorite Friary in Prague. A place where music connects, heals, and inspires.

Tickets can be purchased online or directly at the information desk at the Minorite Friary in Prague.
(Season ticket holders will be given priority if the concert is sold out).

The Harfičky ensemble was founded in Pavla Vondráčková Jahodová's private harp class. Since 2018, it has been part of the Říčany Music School. From the original six members, the ensemble now has 15 members. The ensemble performs regularly at concerts and festivals (Mažif, Harp Festival, Žižkov Unconventional Autumn, Night of Churches, Prague Heart of Nations, Rudolfinum - 100 Years of Česká spořitelna). It collaborates with the Feigele Theater. Harfičky has performed in synagogues in Polná, Třebíč, Heřmanův Městec, and the Archbishop's Palace. Some members of the ensemble have won awards at both Czech and international competitions. Harfičky is conducted by Eliana Vondráčková under the artistic direction of Pavla Vondráčková Jahodová.

Pavla Jahodová Vondráčková is a graduate of the Conservatory and Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She further expanded her harp education by taking courses with British harpist Suzanne Drake. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in recitals and with orchestras (e.g., Teplice Philharmonic, Virtuosi Pragenses) throughout Europe (Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Slovakia) as well as in the USA and Taiwan. She is the founder of the Venus Trio, with which she has performed at home and abroad. At the 3rd Harp Congress in Vienna, she premiered Juraj Filas' Sonata, for which she received an award. Svěcený, and others) and in recent years has often performed with her daughter Eliana, a flutist. Her recordings have been broadcast on Czech Radio, Czech Television, and BBC Nottingham in the UK, among others. In addition to her concert activities, she has long been involved in teaching, and her students achieve excellent results in competitions. She teaches at the ZUŠ in Říčany.
