Czech Statehood Day on September 28 is a national holiday associated with the name of Saint Wenceslas.
It was on this day in 935 that Prince Wenceslas was treacherously murdered. However, his death did not mean the end of his legacy, quite the contrary. Saint Wenceslas became the patron saint of the Czech nation and one of the most important symbols of Czech history. His significance and message are reflected in a number of areas, from historical events and church traditions to cultural symbols.
From 12:00 noon, the composition
"Improvisation and Mediation on the Chorale Saint Wenceslas" by Czech composer, conductor, arranger, and musician Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer will be played repeatedly at regular intervals.

On the occasion of this holiday, we would like to invite you to the grand opening of the exhibition and a special musical performance.

THE CROWN JEWELS OF THE LUXEMBOUG MONRACHS
The scientific copies, or facsimiles, were created by goldsmith and jeweler Jiří Urban from Turnov and his team. On display will be the Czech St. Wenceslas Crown, kept in St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle, the crown of the Roman king from the Treasury of Aachen Cathedral in Germany, the imperial crown, the original of which is kept in the Hofburg Treasury in Vienna, and the iron crown of the Lombard kings, permanently exhibited in the cathedral treasury in Monza, Italy. This exhibition is part of the larger exhibition The Magical Luxembourgs.

IMPROVISATION AND MEDITATION ON THE CHORAL SVATÝ VÁCLAVE
Performed by Czech composer, conductor, arranger, and musician Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer, who ranks among the most prominent musical personalities in the Czech Republic and abroad. He is the author of the music for Miloš Forman's film Goya's Ghosts and a two-time winner of the OSA annual award for the most performed Czech composer of classical music abroad. Since the late 1990s, he has been composing music for stage, film, and television, but he also works in advertising. He records his music with the Instant Film Orchestra, which he founded himself. Varhan is very critical in his views, a perfectionist, and likes to provoke.
