KLÁRA SEDLO (*1993)
Česká malířka Klára Sedlo se ve svých dílech zabývá především sny, psychologií, mezilidskými vztahy, mýty, rituály a folklorem. Všechna tato témata jsou si, jak říká autorka, neobyčejně blízko – prolínají se a vytvářejí jedinečnou podobu lidské mysli.
V letech 2014–2018 studovala na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze v ateliéru malby Michaela Rittsteina. Navázala 2018–2020 v ateliéru kresby Jiřího Petrboka a studium ukončila obhájením titulu MgA. diplomovou prací na téma obsedantně kompulzivní poruchy a úzkosti.
Klára je finalistkou BBA Artist Prize 2019 (Německo) a Mostyn Open 21 (Velká Británie).
Pravidelně vystavuje u nás i v zahraničí, je zastoupena v tuzemských sbírkách, v Evropě, Austrálii, USA i Japonsku.
Sérii maleb podle Voynichova rukopisu, záhadného manuskriptu z 15. století, představila poprvé v roce 2020. Od té doby Klára Sedlo uspořádala několik výstav s touto tematikou, na kterých představuje vždy nově vzniklá díla ze série. Letos malby podle rukopisu prezentovala na sólových výstavách v Bruselu a Římě.

KLÁRA SEDLO (*1993)
Czech painter Klara Sedlo focuses in her work primarily on dreams, psychology, interpersonal relationships, myths, rituals, and folklore. According to the artist, all these themes are intimately connected – they intertwine and form a unique reflection of the human mind.
From 2014 to 2018, she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of Michael Rittstein. She continued from 2018 to 2020 in Jiří Petrbok‘s drawing studio, completing her studies with a Master of Fine Arts (MgA.) degree. Her final thesis explored the topic of obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety.
Klara was a finalist for the BBA Artist Prize 2019 (Germany) and Mostyn Open 21 (UK). She regularly exhibits both in the Czech Republic and internationally, and her work is held in collections across Europe, Australia, the USA, and Japan.
In 2020, she presented for the first time a series of paintings inspired by the Voynich Manuscript, a mysterious 15th-century text. Since then, she has organized several exhibitions on this theme, each time showcasing new works from the series. This year, she presented paintings inspired by the manuscript at solo exhibitions in Brussels and Rome.
